01 / The idea

The entire account revolves around an idea already present in Bayou’s positioning: rum was America’s first spirit, and Bayou keeps it pouring from Louisiana.

This is not a one-month campaign. It is the platform that gives everything we publish a coherent direction.

Objective

Reach beyond the current audience and attract a new, younger one.

02 / Channels & scope

Every channel has a clear role.

We actively manage the two primary channels, Instagram and Pinterest. The third remains a cross-posting presence.

RoleThe face of the brand and the engine for reach.

Content8 posts per month +Supporting Stories.

RoleReactivated as the recipe library and the home for long-lasting content.

ContentEvery mixology tutorial +Photos from the shoot.

RolePresence without active management.

ContentCross-posting from the primaryfeed, with no community management.

03 / Focus areas

Six ways to make the account feel more alive.

01

Mixology videos

ProblemExisting recipe videos are short AI clips of the finished drink. There is no mixology in action.

What we doShort tutorials of the serves, with b-roll of pours, ice and garnish. Built around the 5 main serves, plus additional serve variations.

FormatsReels, photos.

02

A more dynamic account, with the gator

ProblemThe account feels like “photo after photo,” and the gator’s presence could feel more dynamic.

What we doMore motion and design across the grid, with the gator showing up in more dynamic ways and presentations.

FormatsMotion design, static design, Reels.

03

Rework the archive

ProblemDistillery material is used often, but always as static photography.

What we doReuse existing material with new angles and in new formats: carousels, animated collages, photo dumps, etc.

FormatsCarousels, motion design, Reels.

04

Origins & history

ProblemThe “Rum got there first” story is barely told on the account.

What we doShort, verified facts about rum in America and Louisiana.

FormatsMotion design, carousels.

05

Remembrance + taglines

ProblemBayou has strong copy lines that are not being used systematically.

What we doEvery piece closes with one of those lines, turning them into a signature for the account.

FormatsAll formats.

06

Seasonality, sports & game day

ProblemSeasonal moments already work. Sports and game day are not part of the account yet.

What we doKeep the seasonal moments that already work, and consider integrating sports and game day as occasions for Bayou-style get-togethers.

FormatsReels, design, photos.

04 / Monthly rhythm

Two posts every week.

Eight posts per month, with a balance of video and static posts across different formats (design, motion design, carousels and photos), so the grid never becomes “photo after photo.” For peak months, additional content can be discussed for an additional fee.

  • StoriesAround 4 per month, built from existing feed material.
  • PinterestEvery mixology tutorial becomes a video pin, accompanied by photos. Both come from the same productions.
  • FacebookCross-posted from the primary feed.

05 / Tone

Brand humor, not trending memes.

  • Humor, yes, but it must feel native to the brand, not borrowed from trending memes.
  • History is told as an anecdote, not a lesson.

06 / Look & feel

More alive. More fun. Always Bayou.

The gator, brand patterns and color palette keep every piece rooted in Bayou’s visual world.

  • VideoFast, energetic pacing; close-ups of texture (ice, pours and spices) with warm light.
  • DesignBayou’s key visuals, White and Spiced patterns, and brand typography. Large, concise on-screen text.
  • The gatorA stronger presence throughout the grid as a graphic and animated element.
  • ArchiveRe-edited with color, crops and motion to give it new life in new formats.
  • ProductionA balance of real production and AI-assisted content, using the right approach for each format.

Out: palm trees and beaches, luxury aesthetics, and bartender showmanship.

One clear idea, so everything feels part of the same brand.

07 / Investment
